Dr. Gordon was born and raised in Ohio. He is a graduate of Stanford University and the Ohio State University Medical School.
Dr. Gordon was trained in family practice at Northwestern University’s Family Practice Residency Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago. Upon graduation from residency in 1998, he became a “Teaching Attending” in the St. Joseph’s Residency Program (won Teacher of the Year in 2001), and he practiced in a multi-cultural, urban setting on Chicago’s north side until 2005.
In 2005, Dr. Gordon and his wife, Jennifer, moved their young family to the Bloomington, Indiana, area where Dr. Gordon practiced true family medicine, managing several generations of families with limited resources and without many specialists. He was the medical director of the local nursing home, as well as an active member of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Gordon and his family reside in Hamilton, and he became part of the Family Medicine Associates family in 2012.
In medicine, Dr. Gordon enjoys geriatrics, diabetes, psychiatry, and consulting on the many scrapes, paper cuts, and bruises on his three young daughters. Outside of medicine, he has many interests. Patients who mention foreign languages, economics, cooking, or bicycling may not get out of the exam room. Most important to him, however, are his wife and three lovely girls.
