Dr. William Medwid works in our Hamilton office and has been with FMA since beginning his practice in 1999. His particular interests are in the areas of sports medicine, dive/outdoor/travel medicine, pediatrics, and addiction medicine.
Dr. Medwid received his bachelor of science from Hobart College and his doctor of medicine from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He did his family medicine residency at Beverly Hospital, in affiliation with Boston University.
Since the beginning of his practice, Dr Medwid has been certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). He is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). He is also a clinical instructor at Boston University School of Medicine; medical director of CAB Health & Recovery Services, Inc., Danvers; school physician for the Georgetown school system; and health care consultant for YMCA of the North Shore.
Dr. Medwid and his wife, and their three children – a daughter and two sons – live on the North Shore where he enjoys sports, scuba diving, skiing, hiking, music, and current events.
