Susan McAllister has been a nurse practitioner in our Middleton office since 2006. “I enjoy the challenging variety of working in family medicine,†she says, “ but I’m especially passionate about the prevention and treatment of heart disease. I love caring for families of all ages for health promotion and disease prevention.†She began her practice in 1978.
Susan graduated from Somerville Hospital School of Nursing, then went on to gain her master of science in nursing from Regis College, and her bachelor of science in nursing from Salem State College. She has received additional training in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and advanced pacemaker and defibrillator competency. She is a member of the
Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, the Heart Rhythm Society, and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International.
Susan and her husband make their home in North Reading. They have three grown children. Susan likes to spend her free time traveling, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and gardening
