Telephone Calls
Your calls are important to us. Our staff is trained to handle many questions and problems. The nursing staff will assist you with your medical questions and help decide how to best meet your needs. They will coordinate medical advice with your physician or recommend an office visit if needed. The nurse will also assist the receptionist in scheduling an appointment based on the urgency of your medical condition. Please make it clear if you think you have an emergency. The receptionist will handle issues related to routine appointments, referrals and office policies. Our billing staff is available to answer your questions about office charges and health insurance procedures.
To keep waiting time for scheduled patients to a minimum, our physicians do not usually interrupt patient care to accept phone calls during office hours. Telephone calls to be answered will be returned after hours or at the physician's earliest opportunity. If appropriate, it may be more effective to return your calls through our nurse or nurse practitioner/physician assistant.
